Forest & stream
Climb through dense shaded forest beside the stream and seasonal waterfall.
Forest, ladders, boulders, reservoir and the highest point on Table Mountain.
Skeleton Gorge starts inside Kirstenbosch and feels completely different from the drier western and northern routes. The lower trail climbs through shaded forest beside a stream, with waterfalls possible after rainfall.
Higher up, wooden ladders and a boulder-filled ravine add adventure before the route emerges above the trees. From the reservoir area we continue toward Maclear’s Beacon and across the tabletop to the Upper Cableway.

Mountain conditions can change quickly. Your guide may adjust the start time, route or turnaround point when weather or trail conditions make that the safer choice.
Scheduled departures start at 08:00 and are R550 pp for SA residents. Kirstenbosch entrance fees and cableway tickets are excluded. The route is especially sensitive to recent heavy rain and may be changed for safety.
Transport is limited to 6 guests and subject to availability.
