The experience
A quieter climb into a maze of stone.
From Theresa Avenue we follow the jeep track through indigenous fynbos before leaving the busier trails for the steep and adventurous Diagonal Route.
After a break inside the enormous Diagonal Cave, we continue winding upward to Valken Labyrinth — a hidden maze of sandstone boulders and passages where we slow down and explore.
The return crosses the Apostles Path to the Diving Board before descending Kasteelspoort with sweeping Atlantic views.

Weather & safety
A good level of hiking fitness and a head for heights are required. The route includes a sustained steep ascent, short rock scrambles and exposed sections. No technical climbing experience is required on the Outdoor Addicts route.
